Welcome to the SPCC Archives LibGuide! Here you will find tons of school and community history dating from the 1960s to present day!

History from 2020 on...

On Aug 31, 2021, Dr. Pharr cut the ribbon to open the new "STEM Building" (Main Building) at the Old Charlotte Highway Campus. This new building houses the Library Learning Commons, Academic Support Center, Academic Advising Center, Student Center, Technology Commons, Cafe, classrooms, offices, and more.

In the Summer of 2023, Building A on OCH campus shut down for renovations and smaller scale renovations began in Braswell.

In 2022 the Capital Improvement Plan was officially announced. The CIP assesses the entire community’s needs and considers the investments needed to promote academic success, as well as campus health and safety. The plan includes OCH campus expansions, LLP campus renovations, and renovations to the Lockhart-Taylor Center scheduled from 2022-2032.

In 2023, SPCC was re-accredited through SACSCOC. Mastering Communication NOW is the current QEP which aims to improve students non-verbal, oral, and written communication skills. This will be aided by the MIC Center.
