Book Recommendations

Physical Books

South Piedmont Libraries have a collection of over 12,000 physical books between the Library Learning Commons in Monroe and Horne Library in Polkton. We have books of all genres - including Young Adult Fiction and Manga - not just academic subjects! Students can request books be sent from one South Piedmont location to another through the college courier. Books coming from another South Piedmont campus will be available within a day or two. Students can also request books from other NC Community Colleges through Interlibrary Loan, and these books may take a week or two to reach our Library.

eBooks & Audiobooks

South Piedmont has also partnered with other NC Community College libraries to provide audiobook and eBook materials to students. Dogwood Digital Library is home to thousands of titles - primarily for "pleasure reading" rather than academia. You can also read/listen on your mobile device by downloading the free Libby app in your app store!
