North Carolina Collection: Religion

This brief history of All Souls' Episcopal Church does not purport to be a complete history of the small stone English-styled church building and its congregation. The time allowed to gather and compile the information did not allow for a long and arduous research of history.

This book is not intended primarily as a work of biography, for only the first chapter is biographical. Nor is it a critique in the usual sense, although I have not refrained entirely from critical comment. It is, rather, and account of the roles played by the late W.R. Inge as scholar, clergy-man, critic, and moralist.

This little book is a labor of love. It is unpretentious in every way save as a record of facts of Rocky River Church and things Denominational in North Carolina.
